INSCO PRODUCTS COMPANY COLLECTION
INTRODUCTION
The Insco Products Company was a subsidiary of Piqua Engineering Inc. in the 1950’s. They were listed as a business in the Piqua City Directories from 1955 to 1959. Their factory was at 916 South Main Street and offices were at 540 South Street. John Scarborough of Piqua Engineering was listed as President and Treasurer of Insco and Allan Morgan was listed as Vice President and Secretary.
Insco owned exclusive rights to manufacture a unique sign called the “Lit Writer” which possessed interchangeable neon letters and numbers. Insco’s marketing strategy included franchising distributors and many point of sale examples of the sign’s versatility in retail settings.
