HISTORY

Piqua Electronic Manufacturing, a small motor firm, began making Aerovent fans in 1926.  By 1932, Aerovent Fan split off to form its own company under the management of Nieles Lundgard and Martin Bauer.

In the mid 1930’s prominent fan engineer William A. Rowe designed the Macheta Airfoil fan, which contributed to Aerovent’s growth and reputation in the field.

Aerovent manufactured air make up equipment, agricultural dryer fans, and ventilation equipment.  Over one hundred sales representatives marketed Aerovent products throughout the United States, Canada, Mexico, South America, and Europe.

Aerovent was a large employer in Piqua until 1993, when the plant was sold to TCF Aerovent, Inc., an unrelated company, and then shut down.
