JOHN J. AND LYDA A. ROWE FINANCIAL RECEIPTS COLLECTION

 

INTRODUCTION

 

John J. Row was born in Canton, Ohio in 1830 and died in Piqua 12 June 1902.  He was listed as a retired grocer on his death record.  He was married two times.  His first wife was Catherine.  His second wife, Lydia A., was born in Pennsylvania in 1850.  In 1888 a son, Jacob N. Row, was born.  Toward the end of his life, John had a business listed as the Milk Depot at 624-626 W. High Street and a residence at 630 W. High.  His wife continued to live at these addresses until her death in 1926.

 

A collection of personal receipts kept by the Row family was donated to the Flesh Public Library Archive.  The collection is housed in a single Hollinger box and consists of 16 files.  The materials are separated by the type of business or government entity involved.  There are no restrictions on the use of these materials.
