PIQUA POLICE DEPARTMENT DAY BOOK, ATTENDANCE AND PENSION RECORDS COLLECTION
INTRODUCTION
MS-155, the Piqua Police Department Day Book, Attendance and Pension Records Collection, was accessioned into the Flesh Public Library Archives and Special Collections in July 2006.
This collection adds to the Piqua Police Department Collections: MS 89 – the Piqua Police Department Arrest Records; 89 A – the Piqua Police Department Additional Collection; and MS 98 – the Piqua Police Department Photographs Collection. This collection contains records from 1905 to 1974. It fills one box and twelve file folders. There are no known restrictions on the use of this collection.
HISTORY
MS-155, the Piqua Police Department Day Book, Attendance and Pension Records were accessioned into the Flesh Public Library Archives and Special Collections in July 2006. The collection contains one Police Pension Cash Book, dated from June 1, 1956 to December 27, 1966; nine Officers’ Attendance Books, dated from 1952 to 1974; and two Day Books containing Officers’ Stations and Districts, Police Reports and Records of Thefts and Crimes from 1905 to 1925.
SCOPE AND CONTENTS
MS-155, The Police Department Day Book, Attendance and Pension Records Collection, contains 3 Series and 12 file folders:
Series 1 is a Police Pension Cash Record book, covering the years of June 1, 1956 to Dec. 27, 1966.
Series 2 contains Police Officers’ Attendance Records, from 1952 to 1974.
Series 3 consists of two Police Officers’ Day Books: the first concerning Officers’ Stationed and Districts, 1905 to 1922; and the second concerning Police Reports and Records of Thefts and Crimes, 1923-1925.
