ADVERTISING PHOTO NEGATIVE COLLECTION
INTRODUCTION
The Advertising Photo Negative Collection was accessioned into the archives of the Flesh Public Library in May 2007. The collection was donated by Mr. Jeff Schilling. The collection consists of photographic negatives many of which have been cropped or blocked for printing. The negatives are generally of machines or products to be advertised for sale. There is one file (#35) of photos of a horse pulling contest at the Miami County Fairgrounds.
The source of these negatives has not been determined. It appears to have been part of the files of an advertising agency or possibly of a printer. The dates, where they can be determined, range from the 1930s to the 1950s. The collection is housed in one Hollinger box containing 46 files. There are no restrictions on the use of these negatives.
