WARREN PETERS FARM RECORDS COLLECTION
INTRODUCTION
The Warren Peters Farm Records Collection was accessioned into the Flesh Public Library Archives and Special Collection on 13 June 2007. The collection was a donation by Ms. Irene Hartley-Heil of Bradenton, Florida. The books belonged to Mr. Warren Peters and his father Mr. August Peters who lived on and in succession farmed 54 acres on Stillwell Road in Washington Township, Miami County, Ohio. The dates in the records and accompanying items range from 1877 to 1947.
The collection consists of three books and additional items which were found in the books. The first book is a general farm record book. The second book contains farmer business records. The third book is a Record of Chattel Mortgages and Bills of Sale in Washington Township, Shelby County, Ohio with entries ranging from 1877 to 1906. The entries are signed by John J. Alexander as Township Clerk and at the end of the book by D. G. Polhamus as Township Clerk. The relationship of this third book to the first two books has not been determined.
The collection is housed in one Hollinger box containing four files. File four is not part of the collection. It contains genealogical information concerning Warren Peters and plat maps from 1911 and 1963 showing the location of the Peters farm on Stillwell Road. There are no restrictions on the use of the materials in this collection.
