THE RUTH MCMILLAN SCRAPBOOK COLLECTION

 

INTRODUCTION

 

The Ruth McMillan Scrapbook Collection was accessioned into the Flesh Public Library Archives and Special Collections in May 2008.  It includes various newspaper clippings, photographs, correspondence, announcements and greeting cards mainly from the years 1943-1948.  The material is arranged in eight series, housed in four Gaylord boxes.  Descriptions of items of local interest are given.

 

SCOPE AND CONTENT

 

MS-179, THE RUTH MCMILLAN SCRAPBOOK COLLECTION, is arranged in eight series, each one containing a different scrapbook.  The material basically covers the nineteen forties, fifties, sixties, and seventies.  Every effort has been made to detail items of local interest.  For descriptions see the container listing.
