JAMES ODA – MIAMI COUNTY PLANNING COMMISSION COLLECTION
INTRODUCTION
The James Oda – Miami County Planning Commission Collection was accessioned into the Piqua Public Library Archives and Special Collections in January 2010. The collection was donated by Mr. James Oda who was and is a member of the Miami County Planning Commission. The collection covers the period November 2008 – November 2009. There is also a section of documents relating to the 1997-1998 development of the Miami County Comprehensive Plan. The collection includes meeting agendas and supporting documents sent to the members of the planning commission by the Miami County Planning and Zoning Department. It is housed in one Hollinger box containing 23 files. All of the documents in this collection are public records and there is no restriction on their use.
The collection currently [February 2010] is housed in a single Hollinger box containing 23 files. It is anticipated that the collection will be expanded in the future.

The letters concern a 148 acre tract on the east side of Hetzler Road, bounded on the north by the Great Miami River and on the east by the Piqua Country Club. He wishes the tract to be designated Urban Residential Area.

At the request of the applicant Amendment #1594-5-09 Newnam Enterprises Inc., was tabled until July. Also on the agenda was a presentation by the Miami Valley Regional Planning Commission entitled Going Places – an Integrated land Use Vision for the Miami Valley Region, Phase II: Stakeholder Engagement Strategy. Accompanying a nine page handout is a ten page workbook to go along with a PowerPoint presentation.
