THE PARK GANG PHOTOGRAPH COLLECTION

INTRODUCTION

The Park Gang Photograph Collection was accessioned into the Piqua Public Library Archives and Special Collections on June 15, 2011 as a donation from Walda Reeves.  The Park Gang was a group of males that formed in the 1930’s at Fountain Park for recreation and enjoyment.  Fountain Park was their main recreation site.  After World War II as adults they continued to meet annually and as they grew older they began to bring their sons and others into the group.

The collection consists of photographs of Park Gang reunions from 1964 to 1976.  The rights to the photographs have been deeded over to Piqua Public Library and there are no known restrictions on the use of the materials.
