Wood Street Lofts Environmental Review Collection
Introduction
The Wood Street Lofts Environmental Review Collection was accessioned into the Piqua Public Library Archives and Special Collections in January 2021. The collection was brought to the Library and put on display for public review in early 2020. The review period was to be 90 days, however at the end of that period it was not picked up by either the city or by St. Mary’s Development Corporation and it remained at the Library. Attempts were made to return the collection and the Library was advised to keep it for the archives. The collection arrived in three large three-ring binders, which were placed on a table in the Library lobby for public review. The library has accepted control over the collection and is available for our patrons to research. The collection is an excellent example of an Environmental Review and may be used as a pattern for others needing to produce such a review for other federally funded projects. The collection is housed in two Hollinger boxes containing 46 files.
