PIQUA BANDS COLLECTION
INTRODUCTION
The Piqua Bands Collection was accessioned into the Flesh Public Library’s Archives in August, 2000, donor unknown. The collection consists of twenty-five folders in one box. Materials date from 1920 to 1990. There are no known restrictions on the use of this collection.
SCOPE AND CONTENT
The Piqua Bands Collection consists of four Series:
SERIES I: “Diaries”
SERIES II: Photos
SERIES III: Newspaper articles & transcripts
SERIES IV: Mehling material
HISTORY
The Piqua Bands Collection includes material accumulated by Paul Mehling in his research efforts to document the history of Piqua’s community bands.
Included are newspaper articles, transcripts, photographs, correspondence, and preliminary research called “diaries.”
