HISTORY
The Raper Community Club organized in 1937 for two purposes: to learn to know our neighbors and to promote better fellowship in the neighborhood. There were eighteen charter members. Active membership was limited to thirty-six women who resided within the boundary of Troy Piqua Pike and Troy Sidney Road from Peterson Pike to Motter Wagner Point and Orbison Road from Peterson Pike to Rusk Road. The Raper Community Club’s activities were mainly social, but also included making donations to various charities and sending cards to sick members.
