HISTORY
The constitution adopted by the Piqua Ministerial Association reads as follows: In order to stimulate and enrich our intellectual and spiritual lives, to transact business pertaining to the intellectual, moral, and spiritual welfare of our city, county and the churches, and do it in a manner in keeping with the dignity and sacredness of the holy work to which we are called, we do formulate and adopt this constitution. The original constitution is not dated, but was amended in 1921-22. The first record of minutes of Meetings is February 2, 1914. These minutes are not noted as being the first meeting of the Association.
Meetings were originally held the first and third Mondays of each month with the exception of July and August.
The Association instituted joint Good Friday services as well as establishing a Chaplaincy program at the hospital. These programs supply a vital need in the community.
The Ministerial Association is very active in Piqua today.
