In our book club, Read It, Watch It, we watch the film and compare/contrast it with the book. This book discussion group meets every second Tuesday of the month from 5:30 pm to 8 pm in the Louis Room. Books are available near the first-floor Circulation Desk the month before the group meets. This book discussion group does not meet in December.

What the Craft?

Join Angela for What the Craft? once a week on Tuesdays from 10:30 am to 12:30 pm in the Louis Room for a variety of fun crafts and relaxing coloring pages. Crafts change with the season. Limit 15, adults/teens. Must pre-register by calling 937-773-6753.

Sit, Stitch ‘N Chat

 
Like to crochet, knit, embroider, etc. but don't always find the time? Here's your chance to make the time! Chat and craft with us at the Piqua Public Library! Bring your knit, crochet, embroidery or other non-messy, portable craft to Sit, Stitch 'N Chat. This group meets in the Louis Room every Wednesday from 12 to 1:30 pm. All levels are welcome to join from just learning to expert.

Sit ‘N Sew

 
Craft and create community at the Piqua Library! Every Friday our Sit 'N Sew group meets from 10:30 am to 1 pm in the Louis Room to sew and share ideas. We would love to have you join our community of crafters! Bring your sewing machine and your current project.

Nar-Anon

Nar-Anon offers support and coping skills for families and friends of addicts. This 12-step group is anonymous. There are no fees. The group meets in a second-floor study room at 7 pm every Thursday evening.
 

Genealogy Help

Researching your family history? The Piqua Public Library's Local History Department can help! Come to the Local History Department on Friday afternoons between 1:30 and 5:00 pm and ask for Sharon. Internet 101: The Basics

Are you wanting to be more comfortable on the internet? Or do you know someone who does?  Employment Service Professional, Barbara Nicodemus, of the OhioMeansJobs Center for Miami County, will teach computer basics in two class sessions.  Topics will include powering up, creating and navigating email, job searching and applications, as well as social networking.
